clearly stated that the kings should fulfill the purpose of the Bhagavad Gita in governing the people. Certainly the Bhagavad Gita was never meant for those with demonic tendencies. They distort its value without benefiting anyone and make sloppy commentaries. When the original purpose was thus disturbed by the thoughts of the unrighteous commentators, the need arose to re-establish the Guru Parampara. The Lord Himself discovered that the Guru Parampara was broken five thousand years ago. That is why He declared that the purpose had been lost. Similarly, at present there are many types of Gita commentaries (especially in English). However, almost all of them do not follow the common Guru Parampara. Although countless commentaries have been prepared by many secular scholars, almost none of them accept Lord Krishna. Yet they make a good business on the words of Krishna. This is the nature of the demons. Because the demons, although they do not believe in God, still want to enjoy the property of the Godhead. There is a great need for a commentary on the Gita in English, as received in the tradition. Therefore, this attempt has been made to fill that great deficiency. The Bhagavad Gita, accepted as it is, is a great boon to humanity. But if it is accepted as a book of philosophical fiction, it is a waste of time.
