In the past, all liberated beings had to perform these rituals regarding my divine nature. Therefore, following in their footsteps, you are like water.
PURPORT There are two classes of human beings. Some have their hearts filled with contaminated worldly things, while others are mundane. Krishna consciousness is equally beneficial for both. Those who are filled with contaminated things should gradually take to the path of Krishna consciousness by following the principles of devotional service. Now, having purified themselves of their contamination, they should continue to perform their activities in Krishna consciousness in such a way that others can benefit by following their ideal activities. Foolish people or beginners in Krishna consciousness, without knowledge, think that Krishna consciousness is a means of cessation from activities. The Lord did not approve of Arjuna’s refusal to stop fighting on the battlefield. A man simply has to work in some way. To sit alone and perform Krishna consciousness by giving up the pastimes is inferior to actually being engaged in the field of Krishna consciousness. The sun god Vivasvan, as mentioned earlier, knows all his past deeds, and also the deeds of all those who were previously instructed by Arjuna to follow in Krishna consciousness and work in Krishna consciousness. Therefore, he performed the pastimes of the sun god. That sun god had learned this art from the Lord millions of years ago. All such disciples of Lord Krishna, assigned by Krishna, are here described as previously liberated persons, participating in the performance

Arjuna saw many faces, many eyes, and many wonderful scenes in that cosmic form. That form was adorned with many divine ornaments and held many divine weapons raised. He was wearing divine garlands and clothes. Many divine fragrances were applied to His body. Everything was wonderful, radiant, unlimited, and all-pervading.
Purport: The word “many” used repeatedly in these two verses indicates that there is no limit to the number of hands, faces, feet and other forms that Arjuna sees. All these forms are spread throughout the universe. Yet, by the grace of the Lord, Arjuna was able to sit in one place and see them. This is due to the inconceivable power of Lord Krishna.
