First, watch these two videos and observe closely. A song named “Nenu Butterfly” came out in a movie called Viswamitra and Son, and it is currently trending. I am showing the animation from it here; it looks amazing and everything is in 3D. Now, I will explain how to create that animation. Watch patiently from the beginning to the end because it will be very useful for you. Learn this animation while the song is trending. Since it is in 3D, check out the video and the song on YouTube under the title “Nenu Butterfly” and observe the animation. I found it really impressive. Now, I will explain how to make this video from start to finish, so watch and try it yourself. It will be very helpful. I tried doing this in two different ways, and explaining both will give you a clear idea. First, I animated it using a frame style. For the second step, I opened a new project and made it with fresh layers. If you closely observe the song, there is an animation that looks like a dinner inside a hotel. I liked that a lot, and it is also in 3D. I have covered almost everything, so let’s see how to do it. Listen to that song once again. First, let’s select a 9:16 aspect ratio. Since we need to add the song first, I am adding the track that I have already taken. Basically, making one animation first is enough, and the rest will follow automatically, but this part might confuse you a bit. Just follow the steps I am explaining. Let’s check the song; our main lyrics start from here. Since a small animation appears at the beginning, I made it the exact same way. So, I am taking this video clip up to this point, though we don’t even need that much; just the eye-opening part at the start is enough for me. I have also placed a beat mark.

Now, I will take a screenshot of this. Go to ‘Color and Fill’—sorry, go to ‘Export’—select ‘Current Frame as PNG’, and export this frame. After exporting, add that frame here and duplicate it twice. Now, let’s take a shape and place it right near the eye. After placing it there, we need to animate it. Go to the ‘Edit Shape’ option, select ‘Z’ in size, and place a keyframe at the start. Move a little bit forward, add another keyframe, and scale it up. Increase it for the second and third ones as well, adjusting it based on how much you need. If you don’t have the patience to do all this, I have provided the project file, but take a look at how I am scaling it up. We also need rotation for this, so go to ‘Move and Transform’, select that shape, and rotate it at the starting keyframe. Rotate it similarly for the second, third, and fourth frames. Now, go to the curve settings and add a curve. Select both the shape and the photo, and click the center option next to ‘Delete’ to create the mask shape. Now select that masked image group, go to effects, add ‘Saturation’, and lower it a bit. Next, go to ‘Border and Shadow’ to add a border and shadow effect. Now see how the animation reveals everything. Do this animation with a bit of perfection and patience, and the final look will turn out super. Otherwise, observe the project file once again to get a better idea.

Our first point is completed here. The main animation starts from here, so let’s pick a background first. You can choose any color you like from here, but since I have a photo, I am using that. I will put this photo link in the description so you can try it. Extend it until the end. After that, go to ‘Move and Transform’, find the X, Y, Z options, and increase the Z-value to around 2000 or 3000. I am setting it to 2300 and zooming in with my fingers. The first photo is added. Now, let’s take a golden frame PNG. I picked this frame earlier this morning. I forgot to mention one thing: listen to the song here. The second lyric ends around here; I remember the timing well, so I am letting you know. Place two or three layers and leave the extra part as it is without cutting it. Let’s rotate this. Since this frame is a bit small, go to ‘Add Effect’, select the ‘Warp’ effect, scroll down, and add this specific effect with standard settings. By adjusting this slightly, the frame size increases to what we need. Let’s scale down its size a bit and keep it as required.

Now that the background is added, let’s trim the extra background layer to match the frame length. We need to add a photo inside it, so first, take a shape and zoom it in properly using your fingers. Go to ‘Edit Shape’, adjust it to the frame size, select the shape, go to ‘Color and Fill’, click the media icon, and add the photo you want to place inside. Any photo will work. Bring this photo layer underneath the golden frame. Now we need to add a top PNG as well. Increase its Z-value to around minus 200. Now everything is added. Go to the ‘Object Element’ option below and add a ‘Null’ object. Now link every single layer to this Null object. Select the background, click the top option, and link it to Null. Do the same for the second photo, the golden frame, and the PNG layer. Once fully linked, moving the Null object will move everything together. Select the Null object, add a keyframe at the start, and zoom in this much. Go to the beat mark at the ending keyframe and reduce the zoom size like this. Go to the curve settings and apply a curve to see the animation clearly. Let’s increase the Z-value a bit and bring it down.

We can add lyrics in the middle of this. For the lyrics, I am going to Google to copy the text line I want. Select the text tool, paste the “Nenu Butterfly” lyrics here, and select your preferred font. I will provide the movie’s original font in the description. Add it, select the top option, and link the lyrical layer to the Null object as well. When you move it forward, the lyrics will become visible. Set the text color to white as it looks good. Duplicate the layer, cut the extra part, and adjust it for the “Butterfly” portion while reducing the size slightly. You can add a subtle text animation if you like, but I am leaving it plain. See how it transitions between the first and second lyrics. It looks great. Long-press and select all seven layers, including the background, and copy them. Move to the next beat mark and paste them so the second lyric section sets up. Don’t get confused here; just follow this workflow, and it will be very helpful. Change the lyrics and swap out the photos. Change the top PNG photo by going to ‘Color and Fill’ and replacing it with a photo shot from this angle, then place it on this side. Watch carefully without getting confused.

First, select both the golden frame and the photo underneath it and duplicate them. Click the top menu to duplicate. Now, select one golden frame, one photo background, and group them together to create a new group. Reduce its size slightly. If it disappears, you need to link this group to the current Null object as well. Link it to the new Null layer, not the bottom one, so it shows up correctly when adjusted, then make its size smaller so it appears inside. We need to change the bottom photo background to match the style of the first PNG we added. I am adding the edited photo here. Now inside that group, add a slight blur to the inner photo layer. Look at how the first photo appears here and the second photo appears there. Trim the extra parts that we left earlier. The second lyric section is ready, but we also need a PNG here. Duplicate the existing PNG, decrease its size, go to ‘Move and Transform’, and lower its Z-value. Go to effects, add the ‘Wipe’ effect to this PNG layer, rotate it slightly, scale it down, and zoom in on it. I will add a blur effect to make the text look like it is enclosed inside a frame layer, with another frame sitting right behind it.

From here, you can duplicate all the lyrical sections and paste them further along. You can add different PNG frames as mentioned before and extend it as much as you like. Later, a different lyric transition and animation come in, which I will show you now. It is quite simple. Open a separate project, finish the animation there, and paste it back into this main project. I did the exact same thing: selected all layers, copied them without the audio track, and pasted them at the halfway point of our working project so they sync perfectly with the song. Just adjust the text placement carefully, and everything will align beautifully. Let me show you how to build that part. Open a new project and listen to where that section of the song starts. I am trimming the audio track where we need to add the new lyrics.

First, let’s add a background. I picked a background that looks like a mall interior, set its Z-value to 5000, and stretched it to the end. Go to effects, add a ‘Gaussian Blur’, and set the strength around 30 to 40. Next, add an overlay image, drag it to the end, change its Z-value to 5000, zoom in, go to blending modes, choose ‘Lighten’, and select ‘Screen’. You can lower the opacity slightly if needed. Now, let’s add our character layer. Set its Z-value to 1000 and extend it to the end. You can add any top overlays if you want. I am adding an image, zooming in, increasing the Z-value, and setting the blending mode to ‘Screen’ under ‘Lighten’. Extend this layer to the end too.

Now we can place the lyric text behind the character. I will add a text layer, select a font, and increase its Z-value so it moves behind the subject. Change the text color to white to make it clearly visible and zoom in. Listen to the song and mark the beats. Adding beat marks makes editing much easier and smoother. Now, let’s add a camera layer. Turn on the camera, add a keyframe at the start and another at the end, and zoom in up to this point. Move slightly forward, add another keyframe, and zoom in closer. This creates a transition space to add the second photo.

Let’s pick another photo here, increase its Z-value so it goes to the back, rotate it, and place it properly. Look at how the first photo and the second photo align with the lyrics. Animate this photo slightly and set up the lyric text layers on top of it. Keeping track of the Z-value under ‘Move and Transform’ is very important here. Now the first and second lyrics are set, and you can place the third lyric section further back by zooming in and increasing the Z-value. Rotate and position it as you like. You can scale and adjust these views according to your taste. To give it a cinematic look, you can add an overlay video. These kinds of light overlays are easily available on YouTube, or I will share the file link. Increase its Z-value, go to blending, and select ‘Screen’ under ‘Lighten’ to make it look exactly like the movie’s overlay effect. Adjust the properties to make the animations look seamless.

Once this entire sequence is edited, select and copy these layers. Go back to your first project file. Since our first part ends early, paste these layers right there so the new camera transitions and lyrics take over smoothly from that point onward. I hope you understand the workflow.
