! Even though I see you here before me in your true state, as you yourself have described, I want to see how you entered this world. I want to see that form of you.
Purport: The Lord said that the world was created and continues to exist because He entered the material universe through His own representation. Arjuna was encouraged by the words of Lord Krishna. But in order to convince others in the future who would think that Lord Krishna was an ordinary person, he wanted to see the Lord in the universal form and see how He works from within it, even though He is separate from the universe. Arjuna’s addressing the Lord as “Purushottama” is also very significant. Since the Lord is the Supreme Personality of Godhead, He is personally with Arjuna. Therefore, He knows what Arjuna’s desire is. The Lord can understand that he has no special desire to see Himself in the universal form. Because Arjuna was completely satisfied just by seeing the Lord in His own form of Krishna. But the Lord could also understand that Arjuna wanted to see the universal form only to convince others. Arjuna has no selfish desire to prove himself. Even Lord Krishna knows that Arjuna wants to see the universal form to establish a mark. Because there are going to be many impostors in the future who claim to be the incarnation of God. That is why people should be careful. Anyone who claims to be Krishna should be ready to show the universal form to prove his word to the people.

Arjuna, because he wanted to show many people
Purport: It is said that man cannot see, hear, understand, or perceive the Supreme Lord Krishna through his material senses. But if he is engaged in the loving service of the Lord from the very beginning, he can see the Lord through the light of knowledge. Every living entity is just a spiritual particle. Therefore, it is impossible for him to see or understand the Lord. As a devotee, Arjuna, instead of relying on his imagination, accepted his limitations as a living entity and accepted the unlimited position of Krishna. Arjuna came to know that it is not possible for a living entity to understand the unlimited Infinite. If the Infinite reveals Himself, then by the grace of the Infinite, it is possible to understand the nature of the Infinite. Since the Lord is of unimaginable power, the word “Yogeshwara” is also very significant. Even though He is infinite, He can reveal Himself by His grace if He pleases. That is why Arjuna is begging for the unimaginable mercy of Lord Krishna. He is not giving orders to Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna will not reveal Himself unless a person is fully surrendered in Krishna consciousness and engaged in devotional service. Therefore, it is not possible for people who rely on their mental imagination to see Krishna.
