speculation or dry arguments do not help a person to reach the right path. Similarly, a person cannot make progress in spiritual life even by studying the scriptures incessantly. To gain knowledge, he must go to a bona fide Guru. He should accept such a Guru with complete surrender. He should serve him as a servant without false pride. The satisfaction of the Guru, who is the seer, is the secret of progress in spiritual life. The renunciations and surrender are a good sign for the spiritual quest. Surrender. Questions asked of the Guru without service will not be effective, a person must pass the test of the Guru. When he sees the true desire of the disciple, he naturally bestows true spiritual realization on him as a boon. Blind following and meaningless inquiries are both condemned in this lament. One should not only humbly and indifferently approach the Guru but also gain clear understanding from Him through humility, service, and inquiry. The authentic Guru is by nature generous towards the disciple. Therefore, when the disciple is ready to serve with humility, the mutual exchange of knowledge and inquiries becomes perfect.
The Pandavas, who were filled with the knowledge of the world, were again filled with the desire for knowledge. They were the ones who were filled with the knowledge of the world, the one who was filled with the knowledge of the world.
yat – what; jnātva – knowing; puṇa – returning; moham – to delusion; evam – in this way; na yasyasi – you do not experience; pandava, O son of Pandu; yena dane bhūtāni – living beings; asesāni – in all; drakṣyasi – you see; atmāni – in the Supreme Soul; atha: – in other words; mayi – in me.
When you receive true knowledge from a great soul who is a seer of the Self, you will no longer fall into such delusion. Because through that knowledge, you will be able to see all living beings as parts of the Supreme Soul, that is, as mine.
Explanation: To know all living entities as parts and parcels of Lord Krishna is the result of the knowledge of the one who truly knows everything. The illusion of existence separate from Krishna is called Maya (Ma means not, Ya means this). What is the relationship between us
people think that Krishna is just a poor spiritual man and that the Supreme Personality of Godhead is the incorporeal Brahman. In fact, as stated in the Bhagavad Gita, this incorporeal Brahman is the bodily light of Lord Krishna. As the Supreme Lord, Lord Krishna is the cause of everything. It is clearly stated in the Brahma Samhita that Lord Krishna is the cause of all causes. Even the millions of incarnations are just His various expansions. Similarly, the living entities are also expansions of Lord Krishna. The Mayavada philosophers are mistaken in thinking that Lord Krishna loses His unique existence in various expansions. That idea is merely material. When a piece of cloth is cut into pieces, it loses its original form. But the Mayavada philosophers have not understood that the complete is one, that one is one when added to another, and that one is one when subtracted from another. The situation in the purga world is like this.
That’s thebond between us.
Because of the lack of sufficient knowledge in perfect knowledge, we are now covered by Maya. That is why we think that we are separate from Krishna. Although we are different parts of Krishna, we are not one with Him. The physical differences of the living entities are not real, but Maya. We all exist to satisfy Krishna. It is only because of Maya that Arjuna thought that the temporary physical relationships with his relatives were more important than the eternal spiritual relationship with Krishna. The entire teaching of the Gita is to say that the living entity, who is the eternal servant of Krishna, is not separate from Krishna, and that his idea that he is different from Krishna is called Maya. There is one purpose that the living entities have to fulfill as separate parts of God. Forgetting that purpose for eternity, they have been existing in various forms, such as humans, animals, demigods, etc. Such bodily separations occur only because of the forgetfulness of the divine service of the Lord. But when a man is established in the divine service through Krishna consciousness, he is immediately freed from illusion. Only through the bona fide guru can he attain such pure knowledge and be free from the delusion that the living entity is equal to Krishna. The Supreme Soul, Lord Krishna, is the ultimate shelter of all living entities. Leaving such shelter, all living entities are bewitched by nature, imagining that they have a separate existence. Thus they forget Krishna with various forms of material existence. However, when such bewitched living entities are established in Krishna consciousness, they are known to be on the path of liberation. This is also stated in the Srimad-Bhagavatam “Muktirjitvanyabha rupam
