First, watch this highly viral transition video. In the movie Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, there is a transition inside a car at the very end. It looks absolutely amazing, and that is what we are going to create today. I have also made the video, which I am showing you here. It looks really great, and I will explain how to make it simply on your mobile phone. Because it is fast-forwarded, it looks excellent and syncs very well with the music.

Okay, first of all, we are going to create this in the Alight Motion app. If you don’t have the Alight Motion app, I will provide it in my Telegram channel; you can try downloading it from there. If anyone is new here, it is better to have it, as we will be editing in it. Okay, after that, see here, I have opened the Alight Motion app. Before explaining how I did it, I will first give you a small breakdown of what I made so you can get an idea. This is the project I created. There are a total of 31 layers—oh, sorry, not this one. Okay, this is what I made. There are a total of 32 layers, and including the separate music track, there are 30 layers. This means I used 30 video clips in this. You can use either video clips or photos. First, I will show you what I made to give you an idea. Look at how the transition appears. Since it is a bit fast-forwarded, you might not fully get the feel here, but you already saw it in the demo video. Okay, it will look like this. See, I placed the layers like this, and there are also some groups.

Now, I will explain how I did it. First, select the plus icon at the bottom. I will also provide the project file below. If you don’t have the patience to do it from scratch, I’m giving you the project file so you can just replace it with your own photos or videos. Here, you can select either a black or white background. I will choose white and select the 16:9 aspect ratio. Then click the plus icon, go to media, and first, I will add the music. I will provide that same music project file below, check it out, or you can extract it separately from the video. Okay, the music is added. Let’s rename this.

Now, let’s listen to the beat once. The starting part is entirely in slow motion. From this point, the fast-forwarded BGM—the main track—starts. Therefore, click on the timing mark and add a beat marker here so it remains perfectly aligned. Once the beat marker is set, it becomes very precise. For the starting part, you can add anything you like, whether it is a video clip or a photo. I will add an eye shot. I have an eye video with me, and I feel putting it here gives a much better look, so I am placing it. I am trimming the extra portion and zooming in a little bit. Okay, right, this looks good. It has come up to this point. Even if you extend it a bit more, it’s no problem.

From here, to get the main transition, as I mentioned earlier, you can use either a photo or a video. Since I am going to add a video clip, I will take one first. I will take this video clip. If it has any audio, let’s mute it. First, I need the main scene from this. Since I downloaded it from Instagram, I will choose the part I like from the video clip. It could be your own video clip or photo, so check it properly. I will choose this clip because it looks good. I am cutting out the extra part from here and bringing the video clip forward. I will keep it exactly up to where the slow-motion eye video ends. If you want to make the video slow-motion—meaning if you feel the video length is too short—you can go to the speed option, and from there, you can either slow it down or fast-forward it a bit. Okay, I have kept it up to here, and the video clip extended a bit, which is no problem.

Now, there is nothing complicated. Select the video clip, go to Effects, click on Add Effect, and search for the Wipe effect at the top. Look here, add this effect. Sorry, add it with the standard settings. After adding it, the main things you need to remember are Start, End, Angle, and Feather; these are very important. First, select Start and increase its value; do not decrease it. See here, if you increase it, it gets cropped from this side. After that, select End. There is no need to increase End; instead, decrease it, like making it minus, to crop it this way. This means if you increase Start, it crops from the left side, and if you decrease End, it crops from the right side. This gives it a clean precision. I will explain the Angle and Feather as we move forward.

First, I am selecting End. Select End and add a keyframe. See here, if you tap on it, a keyframe is placed. Move it a little further and add another keyframe. Always add two keyframes with a tiny gap between them. Now, come back to the starting keyframe, and if you decrease the End value, it crops from this side. It is completely cropped now and hidden from view. After that, this animation transition will appear automatically. Look here, it appeared, but it looks very basic. It shouldn’t be like that, so what I will do is select the Feather option at the bottom. If you increase the Feather, it expands like this. Now, the smoothness has turned out really well. Look here, it doesn’t even feel like a harsh transition; it passes very smoothly and quickly in fast-forward. Okay, if you want it to come from a different angle instead of this one, select Angle and you can adjust it to come from this side. Now look, you can make it come from the left side or the right side, depending on how you want it. Keep that in mind. When I set it from the right side, it adjusted well. Okay, one is set properly.

Again, move forward a little bit, tap the plus icon at the bottom, and let’s add another video clip. Take another video clip of your choice. I am taking this one, placing it here, and cutting out the extra part; just a small portion is enough. If it has audio, let’s mute it. Now, you have to follow another step here. Go to the effect of the previous photo, copy it, and paste it. Go to Effects, click on the three dots, copy it, and you can paste it onto this clip. If you paste it, both will have the exact same effect. Look here, this effect came out the same, and the next one is also the same. Instead of keeping it identical, select this video clip, go to Angle, and change the angle to the top, bottom, left, or right. Changing the angle fixes it. Now look, it came from the bottom. I will make this one come from the top; it is currently on this side. If you want to add a bit more feather, you can adjust it to your liking, depending on which position fits best. Now look, okay. See, this is the first clip, and the second one comes in like this, looking really good.

Now, I will show you a new kind of transition for this. Let’s add another video clip. Add another video clip, mute its audio if it has any, and take the part that looks good in the video. This part looks nice. I will make this one slow-motion because that scene ends too quickly. Okay, it is set. Now, to get an even better transition, click the plus icon at the bottom, and let’s take a shape. Take this round shape. You can take a round shape or anything else, but I am choosing a round shape. After selecting it, you don’t need to go into the Edit Shape option. Just use your finger on the round shape like this. Okay, after doing that, go to Edit Shape, where you will see two options, X and Y. So, decrease the size completely like this, add a keyframe, move it forward a bit, add another keyframe, and expand it fully. Okay, if you expand the shape completely like this, the animation will appear this way. Look here, it came out like this. Let’s increase its size a bit using a finger. Now look, this is set very well.

Now, you might wonder what this shape has to do with the video. If we mask it, it will look much better. Select that shape, go to Effects, click on Add Effect, go to Blur, and select Gaussian Blur. Add it and increase it as much as you like. After increasing it, bring that shape over the video. Long press to select it, and see the center option next to the delete icon at the top? Select it to turn the animation into a transition, meaning it gets masked. Now look, this is the first video clip, then the second, and the third one comes in like this, appearing right from the center. Look here, okay, it appeared. Since it is visible on the sides, go to Edit Group. Go into Edit Group, and if it’s visible on the edges, zoom in a bit, and it will look much better. Look here, if you want it to be faster, bring the keyframes closer together. If you bring the keyframes a bit closer, it adjusts perfectly. Look at that, nice, it turned out great.

Now, I will add another video clip. You need to follow the exact same process that I just explained; you don’t need to do anything majorly different. Pick whatever good part you have, whether it is a video clip or a photo. I will choose this one because it looks good. Let’s cut out the extra part, make it a bit slow-motion, and zoom in a little. Since we already copied the Wipe effect earlier, I will paste it here. Once pasted, the effect will look like this. See here, it comes from this side. Because the keyframes are too close, I am adding a bit of space. Look here, now see the animation. Instead of this direction, I want it to come from the top because the cap appears from the top. So, I will go to Angle and change it. I’ll change the angle and reduce the feather slightly. Now look, like this.

You just need to continue the process exactly as I explained; there is nothing else to it. You can follow these steps based on your own ideas. Now, we have this video clip. Let’s take the video clip and cut the extra part. I will show you a great transition style for this. Come to the start of this video clip. If I want the transition to appear right from the spot where she kisses the mobile, I will take a shape and place it exactly there. After placing it, what I will do is select both the shape and the video clip, and use the center option at the top to mask them. Once masked, select the group, go into Edit Group, and you will find the mask there. Okay, the mask is there, but nothing else is visible except the video. So go to Effects—sorry, Blur—add the blur effect, and increase it slightly like this. Now, select that same mask shape, go to Move and Transform, add a keyframe at the start, add another keyframe close to it, and zoom it out towards this side. Look here.

Look at this now; it reveals itself only from that specific spot. If you want it to appear even faster, just bring that keyframe a bit closer in Move and Transform, and the animation will look like this. Is it visible? Now I will show you how it is set in the video. Look here, our transition happens directly from this point. It is very simple. Sorry, I had to cut the video in between due to a small health issue. Okay, you can continue the steps I explained all the way to the end. You can try it out in your favorite style or however you want it. I explained it briefly because showing everything would make the video very long. And if you don’t have that much patience, I have also provided the project file. You can just insert your own video clips or photos to replace them. I explained this just to give you an idea. It has become very simple. Just fast-forward it a bit, and it will look great. After that, save it. There is a share icon at the top; you can export it from there.
