Video editing is a very important skill to make your videos go viral, and in this video, I am going to uncover the Editing Mastery Series for Alight Motion Mobile. Yes, basically this is a mobile app, but with this, you will be able to do editing even more extreme than a PC. Whether you have ever used Alight Motion or not, it does not matter. To do this kind of editing, your base just needs to be strong. If it isn’t, you will never be able to do this kind of editing. So, we will go from the basics to conqueror-level editing. This means you will become such a pro that by looking at any video, you will easily understand its editing. By the end of this Editing Mastery Series, you will go from a newbie to a master. You won’t find this course anywhere else on the internet, so consider it free and take full advantage of it.

Welcome to the first episode of the Editing Mastery Series on mobile. We won’t waste unnecessary talk; we will only learn things that will actually be useful to us. If you have absolutely no idea about Alight Motion, think of After Effects as a PC editing software, and Alight Motion as a mobile app. This means whatever can be done in After Effects, we can do in Alight Motion too. Yes, this app is available on the Play Store, but if you want its better version, come to my Telegram; you will find a lot more there besides this.

✨ IMAGE PROMPT
“Apply a warm golden-orange cinematic glow with strong directional motion blur and flowing light streaks around the subject. Create a dreamy radial/zoom-like motion effect, with soft diffused highlights, glowing edges, subtle lens flare, rich warm amber tones, smooth silky light trails, shallow depth of field, slightly blurred background, natural skin tones, high contrast, and a luxurious dreamy Indian traditional aesthetic. Keep the subject sharp and detailed while the surroundings and fabric/hair create dynamic flowing motion trails. Photorealistic, cinematic photography, soft bloom, golden-hour lighting, premium editorial look.”

Let’s start with the basics. Now you have opened Alight Motion. You will have five buttons in the interface: Home, Tutorial, Plus (+), Projects, and Templates. Home is just open, but there is nothing special in it. In Tutorials, you will get small tutorials for the whole app, but there’s no need for that because I am also making a tutorial. We will come to the Plus (+) button later, but before that, all your projects are saved in Projects. Now come to the Templates; there are some useless presets here, and there is only one useful button, which is the XML file. Think of this as your lightsaber button. Understand it like this: if you made a project and want to send it to another device, you can simply export your project as an XML file and send it to the other mobile. Now, on the other mobile, you can upload that file right here using the upload button, so your friend can also edit your video.

Now let’s get to the real stuff, which is the Plus (+) button. In this, first, you have to give it a name—whether you give it one or not is your choice. Then there is your ratio option, where 16:9 means a video ratio, there’s a reel ratio, and you can also set a custom one. After that, you can set the resolution however you like, but I suggest keeping it at 1080p. And you need to keep the settings normal. If you have an intense video where an effect is coming from one side and another effect is coming from the other side, you can max it out. Aside from that, set the background color according to your preference.

As soon as you click on “Create Project,” your editing battleground is ready. In this, you will see three parts. If you can’t see them, in the first part, you get the screen where your project will play. In the second, you will get a few buttons—I will explain these later. And the third one is the workspace area, this one right here. Now, you also have one more thing in this, which is the Plus (+) icon. Clicking on this brings up a lot of options in front of you. Don’t panic. The first one is Shapes, with which you can add shapes. The second is Media, meaning you can import any video or photo from your gallery. The third is Audio, which means you can import your music and stuff. And the fourth one is Text, with which you can write text. There is no need for the rest right now; we will understand them later.

Now, let’s just click and add a rectangle. Now more options have appeared before you. Alight Motion has such a simple interface that it is very easy to understand. First, come to Move & Transform. In this open space, you can move your finger around to change the positioning of the rectangle. The second is Rotation, which will rotate it. The third option is Scale, which increases its size. The fourth one doesn’t matter much. Now come back and go to Color & Fill; in this, you can change its color or add a gradient. Now we will go to Border & Shadow; in this, you can add a stroke, meaning an outline, and you can also give it a border and shadow. Now, coming to Blending & Opacity, you can turn its opacity up and down and apply a few filters too. Along with this, in the Effects tab, you get a lot of effects, on which there is a separate video.

Now let’s come to the second section. In this, you get Undo and Redo. With Undo, you can go back, and with Redo, you can move forward. With both of these arrow buttons, you can go forward and backward on the layer like this. And the one in the center plays your project. Next, if you click on this plain-looking button, a few options will appear before you. With “Select All Layers,” you can select all the layers. The second one is “Duplicate Layer,” with which you can duplicate a layer. The third one is “Save Preset,” which means you can save this layer in presets so that you can use it in upcoming projects. Now the fourth one is “Copy Layer,” which means it will copy the layer, and “Paste Layer” will paste it. “Paste Style” means whether you only want to paste effects or only paste positioning—that’s what it means.

Now the next option we have is the Three Dots. In this, you get many options, like you can flip the layer vertically or horizontally. You can stretch this layer according to your area using “Stretch to Composition Area”.

Alright, let me show you how to make a basic animation. We will come to Move & Transform. First, we will move this rectangle to the left side. You need to click on this small button on the side, which is the keyframe. Now we will move the indicator forward a little bit. The indicator is this line; you can move it forward to come to any position. Like, I will come to a further point. Now we will move the rectangle to the right side, which will automatically add a keyframe. Now when we play it, this basic animation is made. A dedicated video has already been released on this—the Keyframe Guide. It must be appearing on the end screen or up here on the “I” button. Go and learn that first, then the next parts are coming up.
