– in dharma, samudha – being deluded: chetah – in the heart, yat – what: – all-encompassing; syat – what will happen, certainly, bruhi tell vat – that: me – naakku shishyah – disciples; te you aham nenu – instruct; maam – I. ryam I take refuge in you.
I have lost my peace due to my delusion in matters of religion. Due to the fault of greed, I am now asking you to tell me with certainty what is best for me. I am now your disciple and refuge, please instruct me.
Explanation: According to the laws of nature, the method of worldly affairs is the cause of everyone’s confusion.
It causes. Since there is trouble at every step, it is good for a person to approach an authentic Guru who can guide him properly to fulfill his life’s purpose. All the Vedas advise us to approach an authentic Guru to get freedom from the troubles of life that arise without our desire. The troubles of life are like a fire that burns without anyone trying to ignite it. Similarly, the situation in the world is such that even if we do not want that trouble, the troubles of life continue to arise without any effort. No one wants a fire, but still we get upset when it happens. That is why the Vedas advise us to approach a Guru who is in the lineage to solve the troubles of life and to understand the knowledge of the solution. A person who has an authentic Guru knows everything. That is why a person should not remain in worldly troubles and should approach the Guru. This is the essence of this verse.
Who is a person in worldly turmoil? He who has not understood the problems of life is such. The troubled person is described in the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad (3.8.10) as follows. “Yo va etadaksharam garyaviditva smallokat praiti sa krupanah” He who has not solved the problems of life as a human being, and thus has not understood the knowledge of self-realization, and leaves this world like a dog or a pig, is a greedy person, a greedy person. Human birth is the most valuable asset for a living being. He can use it to solve the problems of life. Therefore, one who does not use this opportunity well is called a greedy person. On the other hand, a Brahmin, i.e. one who has taken this birth to solve all the problems of life
He is wise enough to use it. “Ya Etadaksharam garu peri lokaat paithi na brahmin
The greedy, that is, the greedy, waste their time in worldly pursuits. The attachment to family, society, and country is considered as the foundation of the human being. Due to the disease of the heart, a person is indifferent to household life, that is, to his wife, children, and other family members. The greedy person thinks that Rama can save his family from death, or that his family and society can save him from death. Such a kind of attachment is also seen in animals. They also protect their offspring. Arjuna, who was a wise man, understood that his attachment to his family and his desire to save them from death were the causes of his troubles. He realized that although the duty of war was waiting for him, he was unable to fulfill his duty due to greed and weakness. That is why he asked the Supreme Guru, Shri Krishna, to tell him a permanent solution. As a disciple, he surrendered himself to Lord Krishna. He wanted to stop friendly discussions. The discussions between disciples are serious. Arjuna now wants to speak seriously before the authentic Guru. That is why Lord Krishna became the first Guru of the knowledge of Bhagavad Gita. Arjuna became the first disciple of the understanding of the Gita. The way in which Arjuna understood the Gita is explained in the Gita itself. However, foolish worldly scholars comment that man does not need to take refuge in the form of Lord Krishna, but should take refuge in the unborn in Lord Krishna. There is no difference in the inner aspects of Lord Krishna. Without this understanding, one who tries to understand the Gita becomes a complete fool.
Na hi prapashyami mamapanudyad yachchokamchhoshanaminriyanam. Avapya bhumavasapatnamridham kingdom suranamapi chadhipatyam ॥
